Eating Yellowknife

A vegetarian feast at the Ethiopian spot in Yellowknife. Jennifer Bain Photo
I live on the Danforth in Toronto near one of the city’s main Ethiopian restaurant strips, but my favourite Ethiopian restaurant in Canada is actually in Yellowknife.
That’s right — Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, population 20,000 has an excellent, diverse food scene.
My last trip was in March 2018 to chase the aurora borealis, go winter hiking, go ice fishing and check out the Long John Jamboree.
Here’s a piece I did on the surprising food scene for the September issue of WestJet Magazine. You can read the digital version of the magazine by clicking here.
